Prof. Dr. Valentina Lopresto (Department of Chemical, Materials, and Industrial Production Engineering at the University of Naples ‘Federico II’, Italy) tarafından THE LECTURE SERIES ON COMPOSITES UNDER IMPACT LOADS AND INNOVATIVE/GREEN MATERIALS FOR SUSTAINABILITY başlıklı 3 gün sürecek bir eğitim seminer serisi düzenlenmiştir. Seminerlerlerin ilki 24 Nisan 2024 12:30-16:30 saatleri arasında ikincisi 25 Nisan 2024 12:30-16:30 saatleri arasında sonuncusu ise 26 Nisan 2024 tarihinde 09:00-11:00 saatleri arasında gerçekleşecektir.
Seminer İçeriği: The three-day lecture series will begin with an advanced overview of composite materials under various impact loads, focusing on evaluating their post-impact/residual properties. On the second day, the discussion will concentrate on low-velocity impact behavior, highlighting its significance in critical situations encountered during the in-service conditions of aerospace structures. Later on the second day, non-destructive techniques for post-impact damage identification will be explored. Detecting damage through visual inspection alone can be challenging, even in cases where significant strength and rigidity losses have occurred. In the last part, the focus will shift to innovative and environmentally-friendly materials, with an emphasis on bio-based composites. The diminishing availability of petrochemicals and the imperative for sustainable practices drive the transition from synthetic conventional materials to natural fiber composites. These alternatives offer a greener and more cost-effective solution, aligning with the growing need to mitigate environmental impact and resource depletion.
